Hi! I’m Brittany Smith. I grew up in the Snellville area, graduated from Brookwood Highschool, and received my RDA from the University of Texas. I was a Dental Assistant for five years before moving into my current role at The Scheduling Institute as a Senior Certified Clinical Training Specialist. I travel 100% of the time to different private practices around the world and train teams on strategies to grow their business. It is a great career for me because I am most fulfilled when I am able to help others. I remember the first time I saw a post about November Smiles on Facebook and immediately reached out to see how I could become involved. Their story was relatable to me because I spent a large part of my life taking care of my Mom until she passed away from Breast Cancer when I was 21. The first time my Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer I was 9, it returned when I was 16, and again with when I was 18. Despite a double mastectomy, multiple rounds of chemo, hospital stays, and procedures, my Mom lost her battle when she was 51. I remember how hard it was, and has been, losing my Mom. I have always wanted to find a way to help make it a little less hard for others in any way I can. The hardest part, for me, was struggling to find someone who I felt could relate. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors for November Smiles, the opportunity to share my story, and help others feel a little less alone!
